A fun packed family day supporting you from pregnancy through parenthood
Are you wasting hours on Google trying to find out what pregnancy services are local to you?
Frustrated by out of date information about what's on?
Love buying unique, local, handmade products?
Then Bump & Boo is the event for you!
We work tirelessly with local businesses, charities and services in order to put everything under one roof.
We know how hard becoming a parent is and leaving the familiar world of work for the unknown of maternity/paternity leave can be daunting especially when you can't easily find the information you want about services local to you.
We take the effort out by showcasing local services in and around Winchester.
Alongside our sister page Boo & Mummy, you will never be stuck for something to do!
As small business owners ourselves we are passionate about supporting local and independent businesses. We truly believe the choice and range of products you can buy locally is far better than the mass produced ranges available on the high street but at the same time we know time short parents don't have hours spare to trawl through the internet finding that perfect item.
Our event picks a few of our favourites and give you the chance to view them all in one place.
We are just a couple of mums, running our own businesses, who love working with other small business and want to make life easier for all new parents in
I am a local mother and small business owner. I run Hannibal-White Photography and manage the local community Facebook page Boo & Mummy. As a qualified teacher with an MA in Education, I am aware of the benefits of a wide range of educational, emotional and social support and the confidence and assurance knowledge brings. Since becoming a mother, I have become extremely active in the local parent community in Winchester and have forged strong links with a range of businesses, nurseries and parents.
Since the launch of the Boo & Mummy page in December 2016, I have reached over 1200 people and educated them on the local franchises, groups and services available to them as parents. I have connections with over 70 local small businesses who offer services to parents, babies and children in the Winchester area.
A local mother and small business owner, running Tactile Tots Infant Massage courses in central Winchester, I have a passionate interest in parental support, infant wellbeing and public health. As a qualified Children’s Nurse and Health Visitor a key focus of my career has been to equip parents and parents-to-be with the information and support they need in order to provide their child with the best possible start in life. Since gaining my Post graduate diploma and later my Masters in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing I have been committed to the essential role public health plays in ensuring children grow up to be the healthiest adults they can be, benefiting both individuals and society as a whole.
Additionally, since having my own child I have become heavily involved with the Winchester and district NCT and was elected as their chair in June 2017.
